Do you think you need to be an expert with computers to create a fully functional website? Nope, not even close to the truth. In fact, building a website yourself has never been easier than it is today. You don’t even need to know how to write HTML or CSS code with user-friendly programs that help you design a professional-looking business website.

One of the top platforms for building your own website is WordPress. It’s surprisingly simple to use and will save you lots of time creating your site. Especially if you are starting with nothing.

WordPress gives you the ability to create your online presence quickly and efficiently. If you are looking to save time and get your company ready to launch quickly, here’s why WordPress might be the best choice for you.

EASY TO USE

WordPress software takes some adjustment, but once you are comfortable with the interface it is easy to use. WordPress websites are completely accessible through your web browser as long as you have an internet connection.

Before you use WordPress for your website, you will need to purchase access to a hosting server. A web host is what makes your website accessible to the web. You can purchase hosting and domains from the same company, but I highly recommend having a separate company that you use for a host server and a domain. This not only makes logistics easier if you need to change host servers, but it also increases security for your site; if your server gets hacked, your domain should still be safe.

I use InMotion for my hosting needs and I purchase my domain names from a company called Namecheap. Namecheap not only has affordable prices for domains ($8-10 per domain) but their renewal price is only $10.95. If you purchase a domain through your hosting company, or even get it for free, often they will charge you $14.95 or more each year to keep that domain.

As you start building your site, WordPress makes it easy by giving you themes. Themes are just wonderful.

BEAUTIFUL THEMES

One of the main ways to grab attention online is to stand out aesthetically. WordPress offers a slew of eye-catching themes that will make your website look professional, clean, well thought-out, and simply beautiful.

You can pay for premium themes or use one of the featured options, including Flat White – my favorite free option. Whichever theme you decide on can be customized to make the customer experience fit your company’s purpose, giving you endless possibilities.

This website uses a theme called Divi from Elegant Themes.

SECURE IF DONE RIGHT

Making sure your website is secure is an important step when creating your site. If you take initiative when building your site, WordPress makes security easy and achievable.

One option you have is to utilize website lockdown, which will block a user out for failed login attempts.

WordPress also uses a unique email identification for their login, making their site secure from the start.

Finally, creating an unpredictable password will help ensure your site is secure from hackers – so don’t take your password choices lightly!

ProTip: Download a plugin called Wordfence for ultimate WordPress security.

COST EFFECTIVE

With so many website builders to choose from, sometimes the leading factor in which platform to use is pricing. Most have relatively similar pricing, I’ll be honest, and the differences will be only a few dollars. That being said, when compared to other top-leading website builders such as Wix or Squarespace, WordPress comes out among the lower price range with their premium plan only costing $8 per month (compared to Wix costing $14 per month, and Squarespace costing $12 per month), and the top-of-the-line business plan costing $25 per month.

But that’s enough about why we think you should use WordPress. What do you think? What are your needs? There are pros and cons to all web builders, you just have to find the right one for your purpose. If you want to save time while building an eye-catching website that is effectively secured, WordPress might be the right choice for you.

Convert Visitors in to Clients With a Call to Action

Imagine you’re trying to order a pizza online. You search through your local pizza place’s website, but you can’t figure out how to place an order. There are no “order here” buttons, no “click here for delivery” options, not even a “contact us” button with a phone number or email. After a few minutes of frustrated searching you visit a competitor’s website instead. They have a big red “Place your order now” button, and in seconds you are entering your payment information and your hot pizza is on its way.
